An old management company, with a young soul.

Vive is an old management company, previously named Canyon Pacific Management, established in 1991, by Tom Scripps. If you are from San Diego you will recognize the last name: Yes, he is directly related to the Scripps Family which has done some amazing philanthropic work over the last few decades. 


Tom fully retired in 2021, the company is now owned and operated by Christopher Stanley, also from San Diego. We like to say Vive is an old management company, with a young soul.


As part of the final 4-year transition, we decided to change the long-standing name from Canyon Pacific to Vive. We felt it was time to shed our old business name and the ways we did business and look to the future of what we hope to be and accomplish. Vive means to live, to hope for one to live well. 


It can’t just be about money or our bottom line. We want our staff to be compensated fairly, but we also want our communities to Vive, to be handled with kindness, fairness, and emotional intelligence, by staff that is well trained to guide your HOA community and Board through good and bad times.

Note from the President

I started managing HOA's in 2003 for The Merit Companies which is now First Service. I have had the pleasure of working for some really great companies, from guest relations at the Happiest Place on Earth to underwriting home loans for a nationwide lender giving me a unique range of knowledge and skills. Traveling abroad and working in diverse settings have allowed me to appreciate all cultures and learn a variety of important skills that have proved useful as a leader in the Common Interest Development Field.


A little about our set up and technology: We are set up like most corporations, we are separated by department. We have an HOA division, Commercial Property Management division, and a Real Estate department. Each department has its own staff and upper management team. Recently we have been cross-training managers from HOA on Commercial management as some managers like the idea of managing both a CID and an apartment building and we feel the cross-training could prove useful to both styles of management, from a vendor use and day to day operations view. We currently use AppFolio for accounting and managing our communities day to day operations. We utilize an array of other apps and tools to ensure that your community will have the best digital experience that is up to date. 


I am positive if you give my diverse team a chance to serve you, although they may make occasional mistakes, they will always treat you with kindness and right any wrongs, all while caring about your community as if they lived there.
